·        Who We Are

·        When We Meet

The Foundation meets on the second Tuesday of most months at 6:00 PM in the Community Center, room 100.

·        What We Do

Over the past several years the Foundation has undertaken several useful projects, including improving the acoustics in the gym and purchasing uniforms for the football B-team.  On October 25, 2001, the community joined the Foundation in celebrating the opening of our multi-purpose athletic field.  The support of the School Board of Richland District One was essential to our success.  The Board redirected to this project $60,000 in funds previously set aside for Hand.  The Foundation raised the remaining $60,000 from generous donors.  Two plaques in the side courtyard acknowledge their generosity.

  • Your Help is Welcome

The Foundation is undertaking an ambitious project to build an outdoor amphitheater on campus.  The facility will create a performance venue for dance, theater, orchestra, band, and chorus.  It will provide an outdoor laboratory for all academic disciplines.  It will serve as a much-needed additional meeting place for classes, teams, clubs, and departments.  Not least of all, it will be a treasure shared with the community.

Support for this project must come from grants, donations, and in-kind assistance from our Hand Middle School family.  We need your help to begin this exciting project.
